Tim Sarno first started woodworking in the basement of his childhood home with his father, where they would, as his father used to say, "Make sawdust". As an engineering student at the Rochester Institute of Technology Tim was exposed to the College of Fine and Applied Are and the School For American Craftsman. After changing his major to Art he began taking furniture design classes and was hooked. After graduating Tim worked as a cabinet maker, furniture salesman, draftsman and designer before starting Tim Sarno Design in 1994 in his basement. Recently Tim has made a conscience effort to be Green. He is using alternative materials, techniques and finishes to create art and furniture that is not only beautiful and functional, but that also is in some small way Tim's part to try and make a difference. |
